Welcome! I Studied Abroad in Roma, Italia in the Spring of 2008 during my Junior year of college. (January 13-May 14). Not only was I able to emerse myself and experience life as a local, but I had the opportunity to travel and see soo many other European Countries every weekend. This was the most unforgettable and lifechanging experience I could ever ask for. Not only did I make memories I will always cherish, but friends who will last a lifetime. Enjoy looking through the pictures of my travels and becomming familiar with my favorite continent to date, Europe!

Venice, Italia

I was aware that Venice was surrounded by water, but I was thinking maybe like an island. In every sense of the word, each individual building is completely surrounded by water and you have to cross a bridge to get from one building to the next. As you can imagine, it is one of the most romantic cities I have ever laid eyes on. It is so calming and beautiful.

Venice! This is what the entire city looks like. No cars are allowed in Venice so you have to take a water taxi or boat to get here. Water surrounds each building complex, and many bridges exist like this one to get across the water between buildings.

This is the area of Venice where people and imports are dropped off. Notice the boat full of packages, yellow water taxi, and can't forget the gondola's. This picture was taken on the famous Rialto Bridge, which may be the most interesting bridge in all of Italy.

The famous Gondola!! Where each lucky couple gets to experience Venice first-hand on a romantic trip around the city. Don't let it suprise you, some men who steer the Gondola do sing!

Famous St. Mark's Cathedral! This is a very populated area and the square is the widest space you get in all of Venice. This is where the famous Carnival festival is held at night with a large stage and performers. If you stand in the middle of the square and hold your arms out, you will be covered in pigeons from head to toe!

Dressed up for Carnival in our masks! Although we all had outfits to go with our masks, it was so cold we all wore every piece of clothing brought with us!

Standing on the bridge during our adventures around Venice! The big dome in the back is the top of St. Mark's Cathedral!

Although this picture was taken in Florence, Italy a week before Carnival, this is exactly how the people dressed in masks and long dresses in Venice for the event. (Tiffany, Me, and Ananya).
